Content * Familiarising yourself with basic human tissues, organs and systems, and appreciate their structure and function * Understanding the principles of genetics and the importance of concepts relating to healthy living, reproduction and growth. * Appreciating the impact of man on the environment including acid rain, the greenhouse effect, radiation. * Understanding the causes of disease in man. Assessment Method of assessment - * 2 hour written exam paper 75% of marks * 1 practical assessments 20% of marks. Aims achieved - * GCSE Human Physiology and Health (AQA Board) Progression * A Levels, BTEC and on to professions such as nursing, physiotherapy and teaching
