MODULE 1: 'Concepts in psychological therapy'
Attendance at the following MindFields Seminars (in any order):
- How to do effective counselling
- Brief psychotherapy strategies
- How to break the cycle of depression
- Understanding anxiety and managing it without drugs
Attendance at the following two study days taught by NTU:
- Programme introduction and ethical practice within psychological therapy
- Lifespan development and the mental health continuum
The first study day both introduces the university-accredited programme and the facilities available at NTU and online (via NTU and MindFields College), and focuses on ethics and professional practice. The second introduces the connection between psychology, psychotherapy and behavioural science – this gives students a sound psychological foundation on which the most effective psychotherapy models are based.
The remaining 2009 dates for the two Module 1 NTU study days are as follows:
- Tues 16th and Wed 17th June
- Tues 6th and Wed 7th October
The dates for 2010 are:
- Tues 19th and Wed 20th January
- Tues 23rd and Wed 24th March
- Tues 11th and Wed 12th May
- Tues 22nd and Wed 23rd June
