- Maintaining the petty cash balance
Making and Receiving Payments - J/600/8744(level 1 –1 credit)
- Processing cash receipts
- Processing cheques received and other forms of receipts

- Making payments by cheque
- Preparing a remittance advice
Preparing and Processing Bookkeeping Documents - M/600/8740(level 1 –1 credit)
- Processing sales invoices and credit notes
- Processing supplier invoices and credit notes

This course is marked through a process of continuous assessment guided by your tutor following standard guidelines.
The Level 1 Award in Manual Bookkeeping is assessed by 5 tutor-marked assessments. We send the full course out with the units listed above, you then read through the course in your own time and complete the assignments which you send to your tutor for marking.
Upon verification of the activities, exercises and assignments, the learner will receive a certificate to confirm the achievement of the Level 1 Award in Manual Bookkeeping (QCF).
