Introduction

The Travel Consultant course is the second of the four levels. By studying this course and successfully completing the examination, you will achieve the IATA/UFTAA international Travel and Tourism qualification and be able to use the letters 'DTTC' (Diploma in Travel and Tourism Consulting) after your name. The combination of the Consultant course and the GDS Proficiency Certificate entitles you to the IATA/UFTAA International Travel and Tourism Advanced Consultant Diploma - this Diploma marks a level of skills and knowledge valued in the market place as a competent and business-minded travel professional. The Consultant course will assist you to understand more complex operations, as well as the consultative approach to selling travel and tourism.

Examinations

Exams leading to the IATA/UFTAA FOUNDATION qualification are held in March and September each year.

Progression

Students completing the Consultant Diploma have an opportunity to study for Management and Senior Management qualifications offered by IATA. These courses prepare you for higher level responsibilities such as accounting, staff supervision, negotiations and product development.

On Completion of the course the successful participant will be able to:
