The Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) was born in Milan in 1966 as an educational institution in the fields of design and communication. Today, the school is an international network with eleven seats established in Italy, Spain and Brazil, specialized in training, development and research on the disciplines of Design, Fashion, Visual Arts and Communication.
After 50 years of experience, IED is characterised by its commitment to educational and practical initiatives related to the business environment, through project culture and its I+ED (Research and Education) department.

IED Barcelona Escola Superior de Disseny imparts Undergraduate Degrees in Design, Bachelor of Arts (Honours) validated by the University of Westminster, IED Diplomas, Master and Postgraduate Courses, Continuing Study Programs and Summer Courses. Established in Barcelona in 2002, it is the most international school in Spain, defined by its multicultural character and multidisciplinarity between training areas, collaboration with the corporate sector and its projection towards employment.
