IMI Level 1 Award In Electric Vehicle Awareness

Who is this course for?

The IMIAL Level 1 Award is a qualification which affords individuals who use or who work with electric vehicles an introduction to the safety issues associated with this technology. The course consists of a single standalone unit on which technicians will gain knowledge of high voltage hybrid technologies and an understanding of their dangers. This qualification will appeal to learners who currently work in the automotive industry but who have little experience with this emerging technology. It will also offer an ideal CPD opportunity for professionals likely to have to deal with incidents in which ensuring a hybrid vehicle needs to be made safe

What qualifications or experience do I need ?

You will require a standard of literacy and numeracy supported by a general education equivalent to level 1.

What will I study ?

Topics included in this programme include; Health and safety in hybrid Electric engineering, and Introduction to vehicle electrical systems.

How will I be assessed ?

This is a knowledge based unit which is assessed a multiple choice test.

What qualifications could I achieve ?

You will receive a nationally recognised IMI Level 1 Award in Hybrid Electric Vehicle safety awareness.

You will need to complete an online enrolment form and the College will contact you with a start date.
