This course provides an advanced academic, laboratory and research training in modern cellular and molecular immunology, with emphasis on the interface between the basic and clinical aspects of the subject.It provides ideal training for students wishing to pursue a career in science or medicine, but the transferable skills (e.g. giving presentations, poster preparation) gained during the course can also be applied to careers outside science. On completion of the MSc the majority of students go on to study for a PhD.

All applicants must apply online. You can usually apply for up to two courses, although your second choice will only be considered if your first-choice application is unsuccessful. Course programme
The MSc in Immunology is a full-time (12 month) course, which starts in October. The course is organises as follows:
- October - February: 5 month taught section
- March - September: 7 month laboratory-based research project
At the end of the seven month research project, students will have gained excellent laboratory experience, learnt a variety of skills and techniques and produced a thesis.
