About the course

Do you want to become a trained machine operator in the manufacturing sector? Manufacturing is one of the largest industries around – nearly everything we use, eat, drink, drive, watch and play has been manufactured. This intermediate Apprenticeship in Improving Operational Performance at City College Plymouth can lead to a variety of roles working as a machinery operator or in an office-based role monitoring performance to look for continual improvements. This is an engineering Apprenticeship which will suit you if you have basic engineering skills and are looking to take your knowledge to the next level. The Apprenticeship will provide basic engineering skills in either electrical, mechanical or fabricating and welding, depending on your chosen job role. The programme comprises a level 2 technical certificate, a level 2 NVQ, level 1 functional skills, personal learning and thinking skills and employment rights and responsibilities, so you will leave with a broad range of skills and attributes ready to take you on to further study or the workplace.
