InDesign Getting Started is a 2 day live online course, taught by one of the UK's leading Adobe Certified Instructors with over 20 years experience using Adobe's design tools.

If you are starting from scratch and looking to get up to speed quickly, learning best practice throughout, this course is the answer.

About this course

Over two days you will learn how to work within InDesign, creating new documents from scratch, and making a wide range of edits and adjustments to your documents. You will learn to use not only basic features but more powerful functionality such as styles and parent pages, ensuring that by the end of the course you can hit the ground running on your next project.

This course is aimed at users who are new to InDesign or have relatively little experience with the product. Attendees often include people working in marketing and communications, graphic designers, PAs and publishing teams, as well as people creating content for other reasons.

You should be computer literate, and comfortable with standard operating system functionality such as copy and paste or opening new files. As the course is a live online course, you will need a machine with InDesign installed, and a stable internet connection. For the best experience we also recommend a headset and a second monitor, although the course can be completed without these.

This course is taught on the latest version of InDesign by Andy Gardiner, an Adobe Certified Instructor with over 20 years experience. In addition to holding Adobe Certified Expert and Adobe Certified Instructor status on InDesign, Andy is also an Adobe Certified Design Master and a CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer.

Upon receiving your request you will be contact by one of our training advisors, who will be able to answer any questions you have. They will advise on upcoming course dates, as well as other options such as private team training if appropriate.

The course runs as a regular scheduled live online course, meaning you can attend from your own desk, whilst getting a fully interactive experience in which you can chat with the instructor. It can also be delivered as a private course for groups, either online or face to face.

Yes, we offer private courses either face to face or live online. These are popular for small teams of between 3 and 10 people.

Yes, you will receive a certificate of completion to confirm you have undertaken the course.
