Course programme

A large amount of the modules on the course use games engines, although you will also cover AI, UI & UX development, and mobile games development.
In Year 1, you will be introduced to prototyping within multiple games engines along with either modelling or games design. You’ll gain experience in creating interactive assets, levels, and development environments that will allow you to start your journey into making complete games.
In Year 2, you'll work on a collaborative group project as a member of a development team. You will also explore more advanced features of games engines, which will prepare you for making complete original prototype games. Specialisation can be taken in either the areas of user interface / experience design, or indie public relations, consumer interactions and working with the press.
In Year 3, you'll work as a senior or lead member of the collaborative development team. You will also focus on the critical aspects of working within a creative industry and how this relates to being an independent games developer.
