Course programme

Learn the art of shibori as you mix your own indigo to dye wrapped, pleated, and clamped fabric to produce unique and exquisite patterns. See how shibori has been used effectively and successfully by artists and designers. Following short demonstrations, you will experiment with a range of techniques including dipping, resist and ombre. Discover how indigo reacts to a range of different fabrics, including wool, cotton, silk, paper and more. Bring your own garments and use your newfound skills to transform these with indigo.
