Inferential Statistics Although statistics can seem quite daunting, they are simply a way of summarising information and, as such, are useful in many aspects of life. This unit is designed to introduce you to the use of inferential statistics in research. Inferential statistics seek to infer whether the findings from a study can be applied to the larger population. In this course you will explore many of the underlying principles you need to understand before selecting and completing statistical tests. You are introduced to the principles of statistical analysis and you will have the opportunity to carry out relevant calculations. By working through the principles described in this unit, every student can develop a degree of confidence in statistical techniques.
