Information and Communication Technology underpins both our work and leisure activities. This award has workbased and workrelated activities which are geared around understanding how an ICT infrastructure supports an operation. It aims to provide you with the core fundamental skills that all ICT professionals need and also to provide other more specific skills relevant to certain key industries. It provides you with a variety of career options both in technical and management fields.

Normally you would be expected to have:

Course programme
You will cover the fundamental ICT principles and skills required across a range of ICT roles through a series of core modules. You will also have opportunities through the assessment work to develop transferable skills commensurate with Higher Education at this level. You will obtain a firm foundation in topics such as data analysis, ICT architectures, use of ICT to support organisations and their business functions.
Approximately 50% of the award comprises option modules which reflect the work that you do and help you to meet your personal and career objectives. There is a significant work-related project which enables students to customise their award extending their depth of study in an area of interest.
