To take advantage of the award students need to have a substantial knowledge of a non-computing related discipline so they can apply computing and information technologies to the field in which their prior learning lies.

There is also a focus on research methodologies, including issues relating to ethics, legal aspects and professional applications of information systems development, risk assessment and risk management.

  • For mature applicants with non-standard academic profiles, entry and exemption on the basis of Accreditation by Prior Learning, certificated or experiential (APL/APEL) is available.

Special entry requirements

For international students, evidence of sufficient skill in English is required, with a minimum requirement being an IELTS score of 6.0, a TOEFL score of 580, or an equivalent score in TELAS, the University of Bedfordshire's own testing scheme.
