Course programme

Year 1

You will study the following subjects: database design; installing and upgrading software; IT trouble shooting and repair; digital graphics; computer animation; and computer games platforms technologies. You will also have a change to take part in work experience to develop your professional skills and put your theoretical knowledge into practice.


Standard entry to this course requires one reference. It is desirable that you can demonstrate 90% attendance at your last place of work or study. You are required to have 4 GCSEs grade 4 (C) or above to include English and maths. Consideration will be given to all applicants over the age of 19, who do not hold formal English and maths qualifications.

Additional information

Assessment is by a variety of different methods such as exercises, practical labs and assignments.
