Course programme

MSc in Information Technology

Our MSc in Information Technology started in September 2008 and the Management and IT MSc started two years earlier. The basic admission requirement for the IT MSc is normally an Honours Degree from a UK university or its equivalent.

The programme consists of core modules:

  • IT Fundamentals.
  • Web Technologies.
  • Collaborative Project.
  • Information Security Management.
  • Database Management Systems.

And optional modules:

  • Digital Media.
  • IT Software Engineering Principles.

The Dissertation provides students with the opportunity to further individualise their studies of the subject by enabling them to tailor a research project, agreed by staff, to an area of their own choosing.
