Successful candidates will be able to Inspect, test, verify and certificate electrical installations in accordance with the requirements of the 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671:2008) and Part P of the Building regulations. Suitable for: Experienced electricians and supervising electricians who inspect and test their own installations and carry out periodic inspection and tests. It is also ideal for those in a "qualifying manager" type role who need to supervise and sign off other people's test results and certificates.

Candidates must possess a 17th Edition qualification (City and Guilds 2382-10 or 2382-20 or equivalent) in order to enrol for this course.

Course programme
Inspection and testing course designed for persons who inspect and test electrical installations and carry out periodic inspection and tests. Candidates must be familiar with the 17th Edition IEE Wiring regulations (BS7671:2008) before attending this course. The course will deal with the practice and theory of inspection and testing. Candidates will undertake individual assessment of their ability to inspect and test an installation and a 2.5 hour, closed-book, written examination. if you do not require periodic inspection and testing or are less familiar with the use of test instruments and procedures you may like to consider the C&G 2392 course instead.
