The Institute Learning & Management NVQ L2 – Team Leading is a nationally recognised qualification, designed to meet the needs of today’s dynamic businesses. The aim of the ILM NVQ L2 – Team Leading is to provide candidates with:

How does it work

The course assesses an individual’s knowledge and understanding of key management activities and responsibilities. The Institute Learning & Management NVQ L2 can be provided either through individual modules or as a complete programme leading to a full NVQ.

To achieve the full ILM NVQ L2 – Team Leading candidates must complete four mandatory and two optional units, allowing learning to be tailored to the skills required at a specific workplace. The four mandatory units are:

  • Manage your own resources
  • Provide leadership for your team
  • Develop productive working relationships with colleagues
  • Ensure your own actions reduce risks to Health and Safety

Two further optional units can be picked from the following:

  • Encourage innovation in your team
  • Allocate and check work in your team
  • Provide learning opportunities for colleagues
  • Resolve customer service problems
  • Support customer service problems
