In the second semester students will study the specialist module Design Away from the Desktop and at the same time will start the 100 credit (five modules) MRes project. The project module is studied throughout Semesters 2 and 3 (January to September), during which time students work under supervision to complete a large research-based project.

Year 1

  • CO4820 Critical Analysis (Semester 1)
  • CO4754 Interaction Design and Evaluation (Semester 1)
  • CO4732 Advanced Topics in HCI (Semester 1)
  • CO4753 Design Away from the Desktop (Semester 2)
  • CO4824 MRes Project (Semesters 2 and 3)

Part-time students will typically complete the taught modules in their first year, and undertake the project in their second year. As well as attending classes, students will be expected to take part in research seminars and discussions.
