About this course

An HND or Foundation Degree (FdA) in a related subject area. You must also have completed the LCC bridging course which prepares you for entry to the 'top-up' year of this degree course.

Content

This top-up year gives you the opportunity to consolidate learning and explore different approaches.

The objective is to offer you the chance to critically evaluate new concepts and extend your creative development.

You'll be taught by practicing individuals and professional academics who are leaders in their field. The course is always developing, with new tutors having experience and enthusiasm. Teaching staff are also engaged in a range of professional and research activities.

Structure

Year 3 (top-up) offers the opportunity to contextualise studies and engage in personal and professional development. The major component is the practical application of an interactive games artefact with a supporting dissertation. Specialised activity centres around games design.

Assessment

The course is assessed through practical and written assignments, an integrative assignment and a Major Project. Some assignments are group-based and involve teamwork.
