Are there any entry requirements?
This course is ideal for people with limited experience of youth work or those who are not in a leadership or senior role.

What will I study?
You will study 6 units in total; 4 mandatory and 2 optional.

The 4 mandatory units are:

Establishing relationships and maintaining dialogue with young people
Working as an effective and reflective partner
Working in ways that promote equality of opportunity, participation and responsibility
Working with young people to safeguard their welfare

What can I do after this course?
On successful completion of this course you could progress onto higher level courses like the NVQ 3: Youth Work at South Birmingham College.
