Course programme
BSc (Hons) International Business
This programme prepares you for a career in management with an international emphasis including those careers which require a fluency in a second European language.
The international emphasis involves an examination of the cultural, political and economic structures in Europe which have a bearing on business operations as well as detailed study of aspects of the European Community. All these aspects of the programme are taught in the Department of Politics, History & International Relations and account for a quarter of the teaching on the degree programme.
As part of our exchange scheme you will be offered the opportunity to spend your third year studying in a European University. Alternatively, you could spend the third year on professional training in a business placement in the UK or abroad.
The teaching and assessment methods are similar across all our degree programmes and there is a coordinated approach to admissions.
Careers and Further Study
The Business School has close links with a large number of major employers. Consequently our students have enjoyed great success in finding employment, and many organisations specifically target our graduates for their training programmes.
Sponsorships and Scholarships
Several companies have sponsored prizes for students who do well in their examinations and some companies sponsor students in the final year following a successful placement year.
