Learn how to prepare and cook international cuisine.

Course content

This course covers the basic principles of International Cuisine. Various countries will be visited during the course, these may include (in no particular order and may be subject to change):

Russia
Thailand
Italy
Namibia/South Africa
Japan
Mexico
Greece

Please note - the course content may vary according to the abilities of the students enrolled.

Additionality

For your first lesson please bring the following:

Dish cloth, 2 x tea towels, apron, vegetable knife, big sharp knife (meat knife), 3 x medium plastic containers, pen and A4 folder for handouts.

A list of ingredients for the first lesson will be sent out prior to the class starting.

The tutor will give demonstrations and a week by week ingredients list will be given during each lesson. Please allow for the cost of food each week which students will need to purchase will need to be brought to class. This will be approximately £5-10 per week.

No formal assessment.

Advice and guidance will be given during the course on further learning and progression opportunities.

Payment options: UK/EU Fee : £105.00 Overseas Fee : £165.00 Part-time enrolments are subject to an additional annual registration fee of £10 payable once only per academic year (exemptions may apply).
