On this course you will consider the relationship between development, human rights and global justice. You will critically consider visions and practices of human rights, development, gender and social justice, and civil society activism. You will develop skills in social and legal policy analyses, state governance reform, human rights law, reflexive public advocacy or cause lawyering, and working with people’s movements.

About this course

You will develop a combination of theoretical analysis and practical application in the area of contemporary global legal development. You will develop your knowledge of key areas of international development law and human rights law. You will develop both theory and practice skills in international development law and human rights law. If you wish to, you can specialise in a particular area of study. This is reflected by the cluster structure of this LLM.
