On this course you will study a theoretical and practical introduction to the main legal issues arising from the globalisation of the world economy. You will examine both the wider issues of governance and regulation, and specific legal issues arising from various types of international business transactions. You will consider the legal implications of the changing roles of international economic institutions in both global and regional contexts.
You will study legal aspects of the various forms of international business transactions from the simple international sales contract to more complex arrangements such as joint ventures and project finance. You will develop an appreciation of the interplay between international and national legal and regulatory frameworks, fundamental to an understanding of the globalisation of economic law.
