About the course
This award is gained through taking an International Education focus for 50% of the study, including the Dissertation.
The programme is flexible to enable students to demonstrate an International Education focus in any of the 30 credit modules in the programme, although study might include the subject-specific Contemporary Ideas in International Education module. Students wishing to gain this award must have an International Education focus for the final dissertation.
Applicants must have substantial experience of practice in educational settings, or hold an education qualification and some experience of working in an international education context.
The MA International Education is offered as part of a suite of awards available through the MA Education Framework.

Entry requirements
You would need to have an honours degree (2:2 or higher) or equivalent qualifications and/or experience. Overseas awards need to be recognised as equivalent by NARIC.
English language Grade 4 or above (Grade C or above under the old grading structure), or equivalent.
Applicants from non-English speaking countries must provide evidence of English language proficiency equivalent to overall IELTS Academic score 7.0 with 6.5 minimum in each band. For country specific qualifications, please visit our Your Country page.
Previous Masters level study is considered for accreditation through the APCL process.
Non-certificated Masters level study might be accredited through the APEL process. This must be completed prior to beginning study on the programme.
The programme supports you in developing your knowledge and understanding of issues and practice through enquiry and research. By examining international educational policy and practice and global issues that influence education today, this course aims to develop your knowledge of contemporary issues in international education. It engages you in exploring education for students as active and engaged participants in an interconnected world, founded on a disposition towards respect and concern for other cultures.
