International First Year (Business), BA - 2016/17

Today’s businesses must think and act globally to succeed. The corporate world is a fast-paced environment and graduates need to be able to come up with innovative, creative solutions to contemporary problems. The International First Year (IFY) in Business explores modern business management theories and places them within real-life context. Students are expected to be able to think critically about business decisions and communicate their findings in reports and presentations. With a focus on developing a broad understanding of business principles, marketing, strategy and management, the IFY will teach you the critical perspective necessary for successful academic study. Our experienced lecturers will help students develop their leadership ability and a range of skills which are designed to boost their career prospects such as presentation, team work, decision making and research. Once you have finished the IFY, you can join the business degree of your choice as a second-year student, confident in the knowledge that you are able to contribute fully to the academic debates ahead.
