Designed to assist the next generation of managers in developing the necessary knowledge and skills for career development, our Master’s in International Management aims to offer a comprehensive overview of global management theories and practices, with a focus on the different national and cultural contexts in which companies operate.

Stimulating and challenging, this course combines elements of research, innovation and application, with a view to building your academic and professional skillsets and opening up development opportunities in careers and areas of further study. A key course focus is global decision-making and exploring the role of management in a cross-cultural context, including the concepts and issues relating to diversity and human resource management.

ou should have an Honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.

You may be required to attend an interview and/or provide a portfolio of work.

If English isn’t your first language you’ll also need IELTS 6.5 with normally no less than 6.0 in any band (or equivalent).

Holders of our MSc International Management can apply for the status of Member (MCMI) or Fellow (FCMI) of the Chartered Management Institute. The point at which you can be accepted will depend on factors other than qualifications, such as your responsibilities at work.

Teaching, Learning And Assessment

Our specialist team of tutors delivers a varied teaching programme, including tutor-led timetabled classes and structured lectures, where you’ll cover the theory of your subject. In workshops and within the Virtual Learning Environment, you’ll have the opportunity to put your knowledge into practice. Lessons are delivered on either a one-to-one or group basis.

As well as exploring the different areas of international management, the course also includes sessions dedicated to employability skills and information literacy development. You’ll also be expected to complete independent study, such as assignments, background reading and exam revision. Assessments of your progress will take the form of coursework - usually reports - and examinations.
