Spend a semester at a Spanish university and an eleven month work placement in a Spanish-speaking country. About this course

Gain an excellent understanding of Spanish culture, society and economic context.

This must include at least 64 points from 2 A Levels or equivalent BTEC qualifications. For post A level language study, you must have an A level in Spanish or AS level at grade C in Spanish. For beginner level you need GCSE grade B or 5 in any foreign language, or equivalent. For example:BBC at A Level including A level SpanishA combination of qualifications, which may include AS levels, EPQ and general studies, and must include an acceptable foreign language qualification.

Your placement is a great opportunity to gain valuable international tourism experience. It helps you develop your skills and Spanish language ability and significantly enhances your employability.You will the opportunity to apply for placements with international companies such as the main Spanish hotel chains Melia Hotels International, Hotelbeds and Hoteles NH (HQ Madrid). We also have contacts with boutique hotel chains, tour operators and other relevant firms from the tourism sector.Live projectsSome modules will enable you to participate in stimulating projects in collaboration with companies or experienced professionals from a variety of sectors. This will be another exciting way to gain professional skills and enhance your employability prospects.
