Interprofessional Education Masterclass

This is a one day masterclass for health and social care professionals who are involved in the delivery, design , evaluation and planning of IPE at their institutions. The course will be divided into two parts.

• Part I: Overview of the IPE evidence with applications through group work
• Part II: Case Study in cancer in collaboration with Cancer Research UK

1. An examination of the IPE evidence base and discussion on strategies for IPE implementation, content design and delivery guidance.
2. Case study in cancer :'Talk Cancer' session delivered by Cancer Research UK . Talk Cancer workshops equip and empower participants to raise cancer awareness in their community. It is in line with national strategies to improve health and social care professionals' knowledge of key messages around cancer prevention, screening and early diagnosis, building confidence to talk to the public about cancer and helping to encourage people to make lifestyle changes, access local services and visit their GP promptly with any concerns. The lessons from using this IPE model can be applied to other institutions involved in the delivery of IPE.
