Course programme

Agile is a project management technique largely, though not exclusively, used on software development projects. The benefits of Agile over the more traditional (Waterfall) approach is that the emphasis is on greater collaboration and process adaptation allowing for change as requirements evolve. Costs and risk are more easily controlled and the business sees value quicker as the product is delivered incrementally.

The course will cover:

  • The principles and advantages of Agile
  • Team roles - product owner, scrum master
  • Meetings – planning game, retrospective, release planning
  • Estimation of stories
  • Story writing
  • Task boards
  • The definition of done
  • The development lifecycle
  • Burn-down charts.
