Introduction:
PC Additions are exciting new courses designed to give you that little extra. You may want to learn a new skill related to your work, or master a new talent in a day - if so PC Additions courses are ideal. The aim of this course is to explore and experiment with a number of video editing techniques, with the outcome being a complete edit of a short section of video which will then be burnt onto DVD.

Study Mode & Location:
This 3 week part-time evening course lasts for 2.5 hours per week. It will be held at Park Campus, Moor Park Avenue, Preston, PR1 6AS.

Course Content:
This is an opportunity to learn basic video editing techniques including cutting and pasting video, applying special effects, using transitions, adding audio soundtracks and creating subtitles and credits. The day will start with a short lecture followed by a practical workshop where you will use the latest video editing techniques to create a finished DVD.

All video editing and DVD burning equipment is provided.

You will however, need to bring with you some footage that you have captured with your own camera. Please note that this is a digital video course and so your own material needs to be in a digital format eg MiniDV. VHS recordings are unsuitable for this course. The course tutor will contact you prior to the course commencing to discuss this.

You may need to have an informal interview with a Adult Admissions Adviser before enrolling on this course.
Many courses have limited places so please enquire as soon as possible. Following interview, the earliest you may enrol is mid-June.
