Earth is a timepiece that has been ticking for 4.5 billion years. During this time oceans have opened and closed; continents have waltzed across the globe; mountains have been ground to dust; and life has emerged from its hydrothermal origins to transform the planet. What more do we know, and how can we be so sure? This light-hearted introduction to geology will reveal all (well almost)! Bring pens and paper.
