Ruth Torjussen is the founder of filmdirecting4women. She is a qualified teacher and the writer/director of seven shorts and one feature film. Ruth has also worked extensively on other projects in roles ranging from actor, producer and script editor to 1st AD and production manager. Ruth graduated from Bournemouth University in 2000 with a degree in Scriptwriting for Film and TV and has since attended numerous other workshops and courses in directing and producing. She has several projects in development

Do you want to direct but lack the confidence? Are you held back by a lack of technical skills? This ground-breaking course aims to break down and dispel the macho myths that surrounds the role of the director.

Film theory, practical workshops and confidence building exercises combine in a fun-packed , energetic long weekend which will leave you fully prepared to direct a short film.

Suitable for beginners or those who have made shorts before but would like to increase their skills.
