Course programme

This is an introductory course covering the basics of mechanical fitting. Upon completion trainees should have demonstrated basic skills in the following: -

Apply safe working practices
Select and prepare hand tools
use pedestal drilling machine to drill, ream, counterbore and countersink holes in workpieces
Cut internal and external screw threads
Sharpen hand tools using off hand grinding machine
