Course programme
This course commences with an overview of the goals for the Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE). It demonstrates how both developers and managers can satisfy their development requirements using the J2EE platform. Developing Enterprise Application in J2EE is an example-driven course that introduces concepts and backs them up with real software examples that demonstrate how to build scalable, reliable and responsive systems using enterprise level J2EE services such as transactions and security.
You will write simple JSPs, write and use JavaBeans, learn how to use tag libraries and the JSP Standard Tag Library (JSTL), and learn how to write JSP tags using the latest JSP 2.0 tag APIs. Data access and efficient state management are covered, including JDBC and HTTP session management. You will also learn how to internationalize Java applications, how HTTP supports internationalization, and how to use JSLT to internationalize your web application.
Finally, you will learn how to managed web application security using HTTPS and the Java Servlet security model.
