Introduction to NLP
A concise yet endlessly fascinating introduction to NLP which can be downloaded to your device for easy access any time of day or night. This short, inexpensive course covers all the basics.
Neuro-Linguistic Programming – or NLP for short – is a powerful body of information exploring how the human mind works. It offers the successful practitioner a unique set of tools for helping clients to realise their innate ability to overcome a host of limiting beliefs, long-held fears and phobias, childhood trauma, and in short all of those inner ‘demons’ which can hold so many of us back from achieving our goals in life.
This body of knowledge has been built up since the mid-1970s thanks to the groundbreaking work of people helpers like Richard Bandler and John Grinder, whose initial modelling of the speech patterns of therapist Virginia Satir and hypnotherapist Milton Ericsson formed the basis of what became known as NLP. It continues to evolve through new research. There are over 500 books on the subject, with each author giving their unique view of the subject.
At its heart this training brings together a wide range of methodologies and models that offer a greater understanding into how people think, behave and – crucially – what they do to bring about change in their lives. On this short course you will find many practical applications in business e.g. management, leadership, personnel, sales, consulting, coaching, training and development, education, dyslexia, the helping professions, health, relationships, writing and the arts, sports, parenting, hobbies and personal development, in fact any field of human endeavour in which communicating – and excelling – are important.
