This half day workshop has been specifically designed as an introduction to piping work.
Set at a beginner level, so students can gain experience and confidence with a range of the different piping techniques and skills required to decorate beautifully elaborate and detailed celebration cakes.
You will take home 2 birthday cake toppers which can be used on your future cakes (if stored correctly).
This workshop covers:
- Royal icing consistencies
- Lettering
- Running boarder work
- Basic shapes
- Floral designs
- Over-piping
- Drop line piping
- Trellis work
Special Requirements
Additional Equipment - Students will be expected to bring their own equipment or purchase some tools prior to attending the course as well as bringing materials and ingredients.
A full list will be provided
You will need to bring an apron/overall for all sessions. Please feel free to bring your own camera along to take photographs of the tutor demonstrations and your own handy work on the day!
