This course is over six weeks: an evening a week and it will teach you how to play the drum kit. You’ll be taught in small groups from the very basics of using and playing the drums on both electronic and acoustic kits in our music and sound department at Abbey Park campus.

Year 1

You’ll be taught in small groups from the very basics of using and playing drum kits using both acoustic and electronic kits. You ll look at the handling of sticks and basic rhythms developing into more complicated co-ordination. You will be exposed to a wide variety of styles and will try your hand at playing them all
