Functions Of The RDBMS
There currently exist many different relational database management systems. Whilst the vast majority all utilise Structured Query Language (SQL) to define, control, and manipulate data, and whilst there exists a standard for SQL, some differences still occur in the SQL syntax used between different systems. All examples of SQL statements used in this course are based on IBM''s Database 2 (DB2) relational database system, and reflect DB2 Version 9.
