Course Summary:
This course will help to develop learners' confidence and give them a sound understanding of the travel and tourism sector and the work skills needed to succeed in this fast-changing environment.
You will undertake a number of visits, including to travel and tourism businesses and other establishments that will be of benefit to you in your career planning. You will also undertake work experience and lots of practical activities.
In addition, you will develop your maths and English skills, which will support your main programme of study and help your future progression.
Entry requirements
The course is designed for learners who have a minimum of four GCSEs at grades E-G or above - including English and Maths - or equivalent qualifications. Candidates will be invited to College for an interview and a screening test as part of the application process.

Course Content: During the programme, you will develop your knowledge in: UK Tourism Customer Service Package Travel and Tourism Products and Services Promotional Material for Travel and Tourism Additional subjects and activities - such as Functional Skills in English and Maths, work experience and tutorials - will be part of the timetable. How will I be assessed? Assessment will be carried out using a variety of methods including role play, presentations and activities. Are there any additional costs or specialist equipment required? All learners are required to wear the standard uniform which you will be able to order during enrolment. The cost of the uniform is approximately £135.00 which includes a jacket, skirt for ladies and trousers for men, a shirt and either a tie or scarf. You may be able to secure financial support towards the cost of the uniform. There will also be a nominal charge for trips and visits. What can I do after this course? Further Study You could progress to the Intermediate Diploma in Cabin Crew, Aviation Operations or Travel and Tourism. Careers You can consider employment in a wide range of roles within the travel and tourism sector or aviation.
