Introductory NPTC PA2 Boom Sprayer: Site Broomfield Hall

Course Content: The course will cover: Development of knowledge and understanding of current legislation Applying pesticides safely with a field crop sprayer fitted with nozzles Identifying and selecting attachments, preparing machinery and calibrating Operating equipment and conforming with current legislation/codes of practice Disposal of unwanted pesticides/containers and cleaning equipment Identifying faults and conditions when spraying is not advisable and may cause harm to self/others How will I be assessed? There is a practical assessment, lasting approximately two hours, which is taken on a separate day from the training. Tests are organised by NPTC. Are there any additional costs or specialist equipment required? You will be required to supply your own: Steel toe-capped boots/wellingtons Spray suit Rubber gloves approved for pesticide use Writing materials Lunch (there will be facilities on site if you wish to purchase your lunch here) What can I do after this course?
