Course programme

You will take four core courses, two optional courses and complete a substantial independent piece of work, normally in the form of a dissertation. Students will be welcome to attend Economics research seminars taking place in the Adam Smith Business School as well as practitioners’ talks.

  • Financial derivatives (Mathematical finance is a co-requisite for this course)

  • The law and economics of sovereign debt regulation.

'This unique programme provides me with the necessary training in key areas such as financial derivatives, hedge fund management and portfolio analysis and investment. The learnt theory can be applied in practice by using software such as Bloomberg Terminal, Matlab, Eviews, which is a great advantage in the industry. On completion of this programme, I intend to secure myself a graduate job in the Investment Management industry.
