IOSH Managing Safely acts as a full introduction to Health and Safety, targeted at managers and supervisors. Upon successful completion of the course, delegates will have both the confidence and the supporting knowledge to tackle key health and safety issues, whilst understanding their full responsibilities. The course will highlight the importance of health and safety within the delegates job role and will actively encourage them to promote a positive health and safety culture within their business.

About this course

Upon completion of the course, delegates will be able to:
• Understand the organisations legal responsibilities
• Apply basic principles and practices to health & safety issues
• Set and plan health & safety objectives
• Recognise work place risks and implement appropriate control measures
• Investigate and report on accidents and near misses

Accredited by the Institution of occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

This course is delivered by an exceptional tutor who has a great deal of experience in both training and practical health and safety management.

Yes. Tea/coffee and a buffet lunch are provided each day.

Yes. We are located in central Newcastle less than 10 minutes walk from the main train station.

Yes. There is a pay and display car park across the road from the venue on Dean Street.

Yes. A course workbook is provided.

Yes. There is a 45 minute multi-choice examination. Delegates are also required to submit a risk assessment based project based upon their own work environment.

Yes. Successful delegates will receive a Certificate from IOSH.

The IOSH certificate does not have an expiry date although we recommend refresher training every 3-5 years.

The course is 3 days long. Classroom activities start at 9.00am and finish at 5.00pm.

Certificates will usually be issued to you within 4-6 weeks.

No. There is no requirement for you to bring any protective clothing or equipment.
