This course is designed to ensure that Health and Safety is appreciated by people at the most senior levels. It is intended for personnel who operate at strategic levels within an organisation whose decisions can directly affect the Health, Safety and Welfare of the workforce
The course reflects the principles embodied in the HSE ‘Successful Health & Safety Management’ HSG 65 and aims to provide Directors with an understanding of the moral, legal and business case for proactive health and safety management and to give guidance on effective risk management.
The course also covers the implementation of the ‘Corporate Manslaughter and Homicide Act’ which is aimed at Directors and senior managers who are to face greater scrutiny following work-related deaths.
This course has been approved and validated by the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and as such meets the requirements needed for application of the CSR Black Senior Manager card.
