Description

Ishta Spinal Touch is a simple yet powerful technique for realigning the body's centre of gravity, which is located around the junction between the fifth lumbar vertebra and the first sacral segment. If the centre of gravity of the body is displaced then the balanced, dynamic tension of the paraspinal muscles is disturbed. This can result in misalignments of the vertebrae and joints of the pelvis. This, in turn, can compromise the nerves, leading to pain and dysfunction. Also, the homeostatic mechanisms of the body can be imbalanced so that the body's innate healing abilities are depressed.Ishta Spinal Touch assesses the position of the centre of gravity and any postural distortions. If these are not correct there is a simple technique to restore the balance of the centre of gravity and correct the posture. This frees the paraspinal muscles and, in turn, the vertebrae, nerves and the innate healing abilities of the body. As a result pain reduces and functionality increases. This is done solely through a unique muscle relaxation technique.Ishta Spinal Touch is particularly safe and gentle and has helped people with:-Ankylosing Spondylitis, Anxiety, Arthritis, Asthma, Back Pain, Balance Problems, Depression, Digestive Problems, Fatigue, Foot Problems, Frozen Shoulders, Headaches, Insomnia, Jaw Problems, Joint Pain, Knee Problems, Kyphosis, Learning and Behavioural Difficulties, Lordosis, Low Energy, Menstrual Problems, Migraines, Multiple Sclerosis, Neck Pain, Pins and Needles, Problems during and after Pregnancy, Recurrent Infections, Repetitive Strain Injuries, Scoliosis, Sciatica, Sinus Problems, Sports Injuries, Stress Management, Visual Disturbances, Wellness Care, Whiplash Injuries and more.Ishta Spinal Touch is primarily concerned with creating a healthy, balanced state on all levels. It can therefore help people with almost any condition. The foundation course is open to anyone, lay people and therapists alike. At the end of the two-day seminar you will be able to treat family and friends on a non-fee basis. It is perfect for those wishing to learn a simple version of the technique to improve and maintain the health of their friends and family; and it gives an idea of the potential of the full technique to those considering becoming a practitioner. The practitioner course is open to all existing, active therapists who hold professional indemnity insurance and have completed our foundation course, or taken a different spinal touch training. It consists of three, two-day seminars and attendance at all is required. There will be assignments and case histories that must be completed between the seminars. There will also be a final practical assessment and a written examination. The latter is sent over to America to be marked by Dr. LaMar Rosquist. On the successful completion of all of these, a certificate to practise Ishta Spinal Touch will be awarded. To ensure that a high quality of supervision is maintained the teaching ratio is one tutor to two students.
