IT Essentials 1( A+) PC Hardware & Software Level 2

This is an almost entirely practical course, which will enable you to repair, configure or upgrade Personal Computers.

Installing Hardware and Software. Identify faults with POST diagnostics. Configure CMOS. Trouble shooting CMOS problems. Install DOS on the hard disk. Working with DOS commands. Create and maintain system files. Configure DOS memory. Speed up disk using Defragmentation and Disk caching. Recover lost files and directories. Detect, treat and protect virus infection. Diagnosing used and free Interrupt. Installing operating systems. Add and Remove Software and Hardware. Setting up a Network. Install application via network share. Mapping network drive.

When will I receive my results?

Results will be forwarded on as soon as they are received at the college. Please note that certificates, where awarded, can take up to 4 months to be received at the college before forwarding on to learners.
