What will I learn?
This course provides the knowledge, understanding and skills for students who want to begin a career as an IT practitioner or technician. It focuses on the area of business systems and inlcudes the opportntiy to gain a first eovel CISCO qualification. This course has a total of 12 (Certificate) or 18 (Diploma) units as well as key skills and is equivalent to two 'A' Levels. It covers a wide range of computing skills including: Communications and Employability Skills for Systems Troubleshooting and Repair Computer Systems Cisco Communication Technology Advanced Spreadsheet Principal of Computer Networks Event Driven Programming (Visual Basic) Computer Animation Installing and supporting IT systems Cisco (CCNA1) Developing Computer Games

How will I be assessed?
On-line exams (CISCO, A+), assignments and work-related projects.

What could I do next?
The cousre leads onto a range of Computing or iCT degree courses at university. You could gain employment in the information and communication technology industry as a network technician or helpdesk support.
