IT User Level 2 Programme Led Apprenticeship Entry Requirements

• A range of GCSEs at D or above including English and Maths or equivalent OR
• A BTEC Introductory Diploma in IT at Work with a satisfactory reference and equivalent literacy and preferably numeracy OR
• A relevant Level 1 IT qualification with equivalent literacy and numeracy.
• Entry is subject to a successful interview.

Content
You will develop IT User skills essential for the workplace. You will work through a variety of Level 2 Vendor Qualifications which will include Microsoft qualifications in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, Adobe qualifications in Dreamweaver, Flash and Photoshop. The course also includes Employability Skills and Employee Rights and Responsibilities units. Key Skills may form part of your final qualifications depending on your English and Maths qualifications.

A Work Experience placement is an integral part of this course.

Assessment
A range of assessment methods will be used within this course; these will include externally set exams and internally/externally assessed assignments.

Progression
This course will prepare you for entry into employment, an Advanced Apprenticeship or for further study at Level 3 such as an Advanced Diploma, A levels or a BTEC National Diploma.
