The main aim in the course is for students to learn anatomy and physiology either along with massage or reflexology, or they may just study anatomy and physiology as a course in its own right, or so that you may later study one of the therapies. Suitable for: Suitable if you wish to learn anatomy and physiology for pleasure, or if you wish to go on to train in one of the many therapies we have to offer, eg massage, reflexology, aromatherapy, stone massage, indian head massage, sports massage.

ITEC Anatomy & Physiology
This is included in the Holistic Massage Course and also Reflexology courses but may be taken separately
The Anatomy and Physiology award is the ‘foundation’ upon which all other Complementary, Beauty and Sports Therapy awards are based. It is comprised of units encompassing all systems of the body. It is a level 3 qualification and is a qualification in its own right:
- Skeletal system
- Endocrine system
- Muscular system
- Respiratory system
- Skin
- Digestive system
- The Cell
- Urinary system
- Circulatory and Lymphatic systems
- Reproductive system
- Neurological system
Each unit requires students to understand the structure, function and main diseases and disorders of each system.
The examination is set by ITEC and is a 1 hour multiple choice theory paper with 50 questions.
